Why Durra
What hurts a gold shop is rarely its size. It is not having one place where the number lives. The piece is in the display, the record is in a book, and the balance is in the owner’s head. At the first stocktake or the first review, differences appear that nobody can trace.
Durra is built to solve exactly that: every piece has one definition in the system — its weight, karat, code and cost — and every number is derived from it: inventory, the invoice, the margin on a customer, and the report at month end.
We did not build a system for every retailer. We built it for this one. That is why what you see in Durra differs from a generic point of sale: the fields match the way a gold shop actually operates.

How we design
Three decisions that repeat on every screen, and that we do not trade away however attractive the design gets.
- Weight and karat are not optional fields — a piece cannot be saved without them.
- No figure without a source you can trace back to: every total can answer the question behind it.
- Any operation that affects the books is recorded, never deleted, so it can be reviewed later.
